Optimal Scheduling of Isolated Microgrids with Hybrid Renewables and Energy Storage Systems Considering Demand Response

The integration of renewable energy sources and storage systems (ESSs) in microgrids has been increased significantly the last decades. Therefore, several methods have developed to decrease operating cost such microgrids. In this paper, a new method considering demand response minimize integrated with renewables ESSs. gives operator consumer ability shift some load from high-price periods low-price periods. It is found that case, minimized for operators bill prices consumers. decreased by 2.60% horizon 24 hours 3.72% one year. Also, there was big reduction peak standard deviation profile DR reduces need use ESS balance supply demand. This results increasing lifetime lead saving investment costs. optimization problem solved using mixed integer quadratically constrained programming (MIQCP) CPLEX solver General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS).
